seige tank was range 12 in SC1. Carrrier was range 6.
the longer range will be required to have the collossus survivable. I still rather see it do more damage per hit witha slower cool down... but i think blizz will balance it right.

and seeing a collossus fall down ebfore exploding is good, I agree.

The colossus is an awesome unit dealing 6 range of damage and upgrading that range to 9. Wouldn't that be close to a siege tank siege range? And also when the colossus dies it just explodes. It would be real cool to see one of its long legs blown off by a siege tank and fall to the ground. I also here of the new 3-d options for games on the PC. will starcraft ever have a chance of going 3-d? Also starcraft 1 was a master piece but it didn't allow LAN play online with other players. Will starcraft fix this problem?

i can already see some ways to abuse the mule...
since a CC can fly, you can repeat call mules do a quick min, collect and fly off, do it a few times, and u will be effectively stealing a portion of minerals from others.

As other readers I dont understand the Void Ray.
Does it deal 6dmg per second for the first 3 seconds, then 12 dmg per second for the next 3 seconds and finally 24 dmg per second until the target moves or is destroyed?
Or is the damage interval something else?

Excellent post!

I'm surprised blizzard gave widescreen players a slight advantage. I guess the latest gamer rigg always gives the ambitious gamer some sort of advantage, no matter what universal standards the software demands.

I'm not sure if I like the idea of shuffling missile turrets and sensor towers. The current change seeks to solve that problem. What's the reason for not combining the abilities of the missile turret and sensor tower into one tower?

Protoss players will need decoy units or protection buffs for their void rays! Cool balance mechanic!

'Looking forward to the soundtrack. I'm hoping that it won't be too ambient like warcraft 3 and WoW. I like soundtracks that have FOCUS and demand ATTENTION! I think Glenn leans toward the ambient stuff for game music.

when the void ray is firing, does the target continuously loses hp? or is it in discrete jumps of 6, 12 and 24?

most likely the later, even though graphics suggests it's continuous...

it would be nice if they gave us the rate of fire so we can gauge how long it takes to destroy a building

Grats on the forums.

Technically, void rays do become to most important target in toss battles - you can't just let an enemy get x4 bang for his buck.
