I don't understand the problem with multi-monitor support is. If it's awesome and practical why can't it exist in some form that makes it useful for professionals, and recreational players can use it if they feel like. If you have two monitors, great, if not buy another one if you care that much about Starcraft.

I guess the current display systems used for professional gaming would have to be upgraded or something, but that doesn't seem like a big deal. I just don't see why multi-monitor has "no place in the real world."

Looking foreward to the new animations :D

I would like to see the static weather effects in standard multiplayer - a dynamic cycle is not needed in my opinion, as it doesn't add anything to the gameplay; it just makes it pretty.

However I feel that it's too hard to see the unit colouring in the night image pictured here.

As usual there are a few questions that are questionable (is "the zealot charge broken?" !) But good to hear of the new battle report in the pipe. Can't wait.

all in all the game looks great but you should lower the saturation so it doesn't look like a cartoon and more like that gritty style of game play that I'm used to from the first starcraft

I think SC2 is going to be amazing, with new types of deaths and new map variants(spelling?). I would love to see, like in the post, multiplayer maps with affects like the dark and rainy, a blizard map with gusts of snow and sleet, or a desert map, where a little dusts storm might radomly appear in the middle of some dunes.
As I was also saying early, i can wait for the new death types. I am so tired of killing lings, and they always die te same way;Ex: Marine shoots the ling into a mess, tank, blows lings into the same exact mess, and then even drones spit lings, into a bloody mess, there is no variation at all. I cant wait to get a marine to kill a ling, and have it fall into a bloody corpse, and a tank, to remove the lings from the face of the earth with one blast, and for a ling to burn on the ground, as a helion looks triuphantly over it.

Ohhhh, I am getting so tired of waiting for the game to come out...!!!

Three suggestions for rewarding focus on the macro game:
1) Falling resources - the simplest: resources fall from the sky (or emerge from the ground, whatever) and are available for collection for a limited time. Could even allow combat units to pick these up, who'd then have to return to the base in the time limit to get the bonus. Could somewhat encourage mid-level players to explore more, and not just have a mass of units in their base.

2) "hot" resources - crystals will occasionally glow for a few seconds, if they are harvested in that time (think whack-a-mole) the player gets a bonus. Definitely cheesy and probably boring, but would make microing SCVs pay off. Alternately you could put timers on each resource node, providing a bonus each time they are harvested consecutively.

3) blocked resources - The idea of having yellow super crystals has already been proposed; I'm suggesting they be placed near the starting location, but blocked by blue crystals, so the player is rewarded for "focused fire" on the particular nodes blocking the yellow node(s).

And yes, I'd be surprised if I'm the first to think of these ideas. Falling bonus resources is by no means original.

Hrm, one more idea: intermediate production. The idea being you build a separate building (or alternate mode of the Barracks - to use Marines as an example) that allows you to pre-build Marine armor for a fraction of the cost & time. Then when you build Marines, they come at a discount (maybe just in time) until you use up all your stored armor. I know there's already an add-on to double Marine production, but this could be applied to any unit, or generically (metal armor plate, perhaps stored in a fragile warehouse) to add a less easily quantifiable bonus to focusing on macro tasks.

A pretty decent batch :)

The custom maps will be kickass for SC2, now we need another Podcast or BattleReport...
