Karune, Blizzard’s RTS community manager, has sent out a call for the fans: request screenshots of StarCraft 2! Karune wants you to post in the thread he published on Battle.net and ask for screenshots of specific situations and scenarios.

Over the next few months I will be taking screenshots upon community requests. Please list certain types of screenshots you would like to see of StarCraft II and I will do my best to accomodate.

 

Furthermore, I hope through this process, I can also give everyone a little more insight to the screenshot taking process from Blizzard’s side. There is often a lot more work behind each shot than one may think.

 

Please list types of battles, scenarios, units, etc. that you would like to see here.

Karune promises to begin publishing these screenshots in Q&As, starting from the next batch.

In case you haven’t noticed, Blizzard hasn’t added any new unit or building page and hasn’t published any new screenshots for a long while. Rumors say that Blizzard has taken the feedback about the game’s artistic design, discussed intensively in December’s monthly discussion topic, and has begun experimenting with a less cartoony, less color-saturated artistic direction. Hopefully, we will see the result of this important change in the next Q&A, or perhaps, if other rumors are true, on March 10, when Blizzard exhibits the Zerg race in Korea.

Feel free to post your screenshot requests on the SC2 Blog -  we routinely aggregate and report fan feedback to Blizzard, and screenshot requests will join the data we already send out in our reports.

   Like everybody else: Zerg.

   Aside from that, unexxaggerated screenshots of units doing what they do best, and/or units using some sort of ability.

   Also, some screenshots of marauders, nullifiers, and any other newer units, once again using their abilities, and/or being in whichever situations they shine most in.

   mmm… It’d be better that karune gives us videos instead of more screenshots… but if the screenshots show zerg or massive battles, that would be great also.

    True, that. (If video requests are taken, see my screenshot requests for the types of videos. These should preferably be in situations that would actually exist commonly in games, instead of exaggerated ones like the “muillions of zerglings attack a terran outpost” types of ones.)

    to add to the screnshots; any type of single player campaign shots would be neat, though the protoss and terran briefing rooms would be nicest for me.

    i like zergg. i saw some zerg units and all.
    i think queen is the best and the most important unit for
    star2 zerg.

    the new flashvideo of the hydralisks is very impressive…. unfortunatly the anti-air spines are not animated somehow.
