The amount of times i've had to drop a nuke on my own base to save my butt. Eg: a huge run of Carriers running a muck over your base can be easily cleared with a sci vess emp and a nuked. 9 times out of 10 ur opponent is not expecting it and it is cheaper to repear then spend ur cash building units and extra panic "D".

It seems to me like placing a ghost or two in a bunker or bunkers along with a sensor tower just a little in front of your base's main entrance could seriously lay waste to a large invading force. Dropping a couple of nukes right in the middle of them could make your job as a defender much easier.

As Lonia and Guy point out, the usage of the bunker nuke would not be very effective as an offensive tactic. But could the nuclear weapon become a popular and effective defensive strategy as well? I think with ghosts able to launch from a bunker, it will open up some new strategies in that regard.

Veterency seems that it would make the game harder to balance for multiplayer, but does add a bit extra to single player to make it more interesting, perhaps.

Like a lot of other people, I'm waiting for march 10th or so to see if the announcement/showing off of zerg does in fact take place than. (It is on a Sunday, which does make it seem less likely, but otherwise the information does suggest that it is likely to happen.)

I'm slightly saddened that we have 3 units across the races that have liner splash damage. Sure they have slightly different attacks but the uses are all the same, make tier 1 obsolete again.

And whats the point of veterans if its not a staple to both multiplayer and single player games or across the races.

Have to agree with Lonia. Why go through setting up a bunker, getting a ghost, creating a nuke, and then putting him in the bunker to launch it. There's no point to doing it unless your on defense from a large attack, as seen in the 'sensor' tower picture. Its like the zerg going through the process of getting infested terrans to kill you off, its delaying the inevitable and just showing off(most of the time). Let the terran player take the time to get the ghost-bunk nuke, while you prepare a counter of your own.

“Furthermore, the red dot that Ghosts project when launching a Nuke at the moment, is somewhat easily avoided.”

So it means that you can "dodge" the laser dot? :|

Hey Karune, WTF?
