I think the ability to transfer energy from one caster to another is interesting - if a little bizzare.

I don't think the flying pylon should be able to generate force field because transports cannot equip such an valuable(expensive). I mean They get shot down all the time during the battle! They do help regenerate soldiers faster though.

I like background stuff. It makes game even more enjoyable/interesting for me. sometimes I like the background story line more than the actual game.

I know that I whine too much but I really want to see Queen Bitch of the Universe: Kerrigan part III.

(Yes, I've been quite argumentetive/correcting in this blog post.) the background and story ones can be cool for me as well, it's just that the particular questions and answers given out are pretty bad. (Something like: "Will the protoss figure out how to make new immortals?" or "How are Stalkers made?" with more logical answers would be nice to include.)

I don't mind the backstory. Some people like that stuff.

As long as it doesn't waste valuable gameplay Q&A space.

Yes, there probably should be a rule of thumb along the lines of "If it is an art or gameplay feature that has no other influence on the backstory or storyline, it does not need to be explained, or if explained, should use the reason that most people are likely to assume it came from."

This would apply to protoss not having mouths (they don't need to photosynthesize, and are said to hunt anyway already, they just absorb nutrients in a different way.), Protoss zealots/templar/etc. flashing away (If explained, they just have a lot of high energy use equipment and psionic related energy, which is released on death, though this is one that doesn't need an explanation), and possible future questions like flying units all being able to hover, Banshees flying in space, Mutalisks being said to be 'space faring life forms" despite having no obvious method of getting around, why battlecruisers and Carriers are so small compared to other units and fly so low, etc.

The story behind the protoss units "teleporting" sounds wack to me. I don't think the story writers should come up with some false story behind what was originally simply a cool art animation. I do, however, like the note on the Khala... that's cool. The Dark Templar, who severed themselves from the Khala... are their memories simply lost?

Hmm.. I think if pylons did generate the force fields, they could use the hexagonal building guide (as the power grid is represented when a pylon is selected) to put a clump of force field in that block, with maybe 5 or 6 blocks available. You could draw in your own walls! And you could counter the wall with ranged attack against the (now shieldless) pylon. Zerglings will not be able to get past, but marines (perhaps with their U-238 range upgrade) will.

I'm sorry to pester, but I really like this idea! Just thought I'd repeatedly throw it in there and hope a Blizzard fellow reads its and it tickles their fancy :)
