I think it's been sorted out that most people don't like trampling because it doesn't fit with the game.

The "pulverize like" idea might actually work, though (It could be an area damage attack based on swinging the tusks rather than stomping the ground)

It will be interesting to see what units are kept and lost for the zerg, it's hard for me to imagine what units would go besides infested terrans and devourers, though 1-2 of scourge, queens, and defilers seem the best bets. Guardians "flying crab that spits acid" could be easily fit into any air to ground role needed, to be the equivalent of banshees and motherships, Lurkers would take advantage of burrowing, which seems the most likely zerg game mechanic to be expanded, and Ultralisks are the heavy ground units of the zerg.

Quoting Mike:

"Regarding Trample, maybe Ultralisks can have a trample passive ability, similar to the Warcraft 3’s Tauren Pulverize with a percent chance to either do AoE damage or myabe a percent chance to instantly kill a small unit within close proximity."

The next time you compare SC to Warcraft, better watch out. Thousands of SC fans are ready to stone you to death for such a blasphemous thing to say.

Quoting Isaac:

"I think it’d be cool if ultralisks could trample rines/medics/firebats/lings/zealots to do critical damage and sometimes death."

ARE YOU SERIOUS? OR ARE YOU JUST IN THE MOOD TO SAY "cool"? COZ WHAT YOU JUST SAID AIN'T COOL AT ALL.

@ mike : lisks could already do that, but not in the sense of running over units to kill/cause damage

Do terrans need EMP? Of coarse they do. Do ghost need to have it? no....Hell no. Snipe has already turned a simple "build me to blow a crap load of stuff up" unit into a micro managed cluster F*&k. Why can we give EMP to the Nomad like the mini science vessel it is?

Agreed, Dill and Ken.
The comments here are pretty insightful, I must say...

Ghosts are becoming too powerful if you put EMP. does that mean he can single-handedly kill a few archons ? I don't know, looks like and imbalance to me.

Predators taken out? it wasn't even introduced yet, so no worries. They'll probably come up with something better.

Siege tanks firing from a cliff remains hidden through fog of war? This will certainly change a lot of strategies. If this will happen, imagine a colossus attacking from a cliff... or a Thor bombarding an expo... A lot of changes, a lot of comments...

And lastly, Trample? scrap it, it doesn't fit in this game. maybe an ability, perhaps, will cause to drain some energy when cast... but an innate physics engine to cause trampling of troops (say zerglings being run over by tanks), it just sick. i hate to think about it. scrap it, i say!
