I had thought that the new Photon Cannons would be destroyed if they left crystal power in their mobile form. I'm not sure where I read it, so don't take it as fact, but didn't blizzard say that they couldn't move farther then crystal power, and that destroying a pylon would ba an effective way of eliminating moving cannons?

I don't agree with GG. I think that it will be balanced. Blizzard has never come out with a bad game and I'm sure they won't start now. I'm really, really looking forward to this. I mean, come on. Dragoons were easily pwned by Zerglings and Hydralisks. I think that you having to have a more balanced team is good. I mean, why should the Tempest be an uber unit. They are an anti-ground unit. Think of it this way, A Tempest could support a Warp Ray or a Warp Ray could support a Tempest. See? It all works out.

I'm concerned about the unit balancing being more in the spirit of wc3 than sc1, as per the firing squad review you linked to earlier. Too many unbalanced individual units (eg the tempest) means you have to build a much more varied army to approach covering all the bases in terms of combat capability. Whereas dragoons were pretty much an all-around good threat, the new protoss doesn't seem to have the same kind of low-cost, high capability fighter. here's to hoping they don't nerf the hydralisk as well.
